TPP targets South African citizens or permanent residents aged 17–30 who have not completed Matric OR have no tertiary qualification (NQF Level 5 or above). Applicants must demonstrate economic disadvantage (household income below R8,000/month) and basic digital literacy. Priority is given to applicants from townships, rural communities, child-headed households, and youth with disabilities.
How much does it cost to participate in TPP?
Nothing. TPP is completely free for all participants. No fees are charged at any stage — training, certification, materials, and pastoral support are all funded by donors and sponsors.
Will I receive a stipend during training?
Subject to donor funding, TPP provides monthly stipends to cover data/connectivity costs and transport. We aim to remove every financial barrier that could prevent a committed learner from completing their pathway.
What happens after I get certified?
TPP does not simply train and release graduates. We actively place every graduate either within Vahlave Quick Tech Solutions or with our network of partner employers. You also receive 12 months of post-employment support with monthly check-ins.
How long does each training pathway take?
Pathways range from 4 to 9 months depending on the discipline: IT Support & Networking (4–6 months), Cloud Computing (4–5 months), Cybersecurity (5–7 months), Data & Analytics (5–7 months), and Software Development (6–9 months).

How do we become a partner employer?

For Donors
How are donations used?
Every rand raised goes directly to the programme mandate. Funds cover: course platform access (R800–R2,500), certification exam vouchers (R2,000–R6,000), data/connectivity allowances (R500/month), transport stipends, study materials, pastoral support, and programme administration (capped at 10%). No profit is extracted — ever.
Can I sponsor a specific learner or cohort?
Yes. TPP offers named sponsorship options — you can sponsor a named learner, a named cohort, or a named certification pathway. Contact us at tpp@vahlave.co.za to discuss personalised sponsorship arrangements.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
TPP is working towards obtaining Section 18A tax-exempt status. Please contact us for the current status and applicable documentation for your contribution.
How do I see the impact of my donation?
Every donor receives a detailed impact report showing exactly how funds were used. Quarterly financial statements are published on this website. Named sponsors receive individual learner update reports throughout the programme.
General
Can I volunteer as a mentor?
Absolutely. TPP needs industry professionals willing to give 2+ hours per month to guide and mentor learners. As a volunteer mentor, you are matched with a cohort member in your field. Contact us at tpp@vahlave.co.za to register your interest.
